TODAY’S VERSE

Everything you say and everything you do should all be done for Jesus your Lord. And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus.

DEVOTIONAL

Do you know that God cares about every detail of your life? He wants even the ordinary things you do, like going to school, playing with your friends or doing chores to be done in a way that honours the sacrifice that Jesus made when He died on the cross for us. When you follow Jesus, everything you say and do should reflect His heart and character.

When you forgive someone who has been unkind to you at school, rather than being mean in return, your forgiveness reflects Jesus. When you share a favourite toy with a friend, your generosity reflects Jesus. When you offer to set the dinner table without being asked, your desire to serve your parents reflects Jesus. Everything you say and do is an opportunity to glorify Jesus and point others to Him, and that is pleasing to God!

PRAYER

Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to die on the cross so that I can be forgiven. Please help me to be dependent on Jesus, honour Him in everything that I say and do, and to give thanks in all things. In Jesus’s Name, Amen.
