TODAY’S BIBLE VERSE

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can produce fruit alone. It must remain in the vine. It is the same with you. You cannot produce fruit alone. You must remain in me.

John 15:4 ICB

DEVOTIONAL

Jesus wants us to stay close to Him because that’s how we grow in faith and become more like Him. Just as a grape only grows from a branch that is connected to the vine, you must be connected to Jesus to grow too. When you remain in Jesus, you’ll love others more, be more kind and generous, have more patience, be more joyful and so on. And isn’t it wonderful that Jesus says He’ll remain in us too? He loves us so much and wants to be our best friend!

So how can you remain in Jesus? Well, you’re doing one of those things right now - reading your Bible and learning about Jesus! You can also pray, sing or dance to worship songs, draw or write about Jesus, participate in church on Sunday mornings, and talk to your family and friends about Him. You can remain in Jesus by following God’s commands and doing anything that brings you closer to Him!

PRAYER

Dear Jesus, thank You for loving me and for promising to remain close to me. Please help me to remain close to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
