TODAY’S BIBLE VERSE

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Psalm 139:14 ESV

DEVOTIONAL

King David wrote this psalm because he was thankful for the way God made him. ‘Fearfully made’ doesn’t mean that David was afraid. It was like saying, “Wow! Look what God did!” He was amazed by how wonderfully God creates us. He has given us bodies with lots of parts that work together to do amazing things. We see, hear, taste, feel, move and grow. We have minds that think, learn and remember. God designed us with such detail and care!

Do you know that God also made us all unique and special? He gave each of us gifts, dreams, and talents that make us who we are. There’s no one else exactly like you in the whole world. God created you to be you! He loves you and created you with a special purpose to love and glorify Him.

PRAYER

Dear God, thank You for creating me with such care and purpose. Please help me to see myself as You do, and to love and glorify You in everything that I do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
